Spring Has Sprung & I Am Ready!!!!!

Well, I haven't written for quite some time. There have been a ton of things happen in our lives since I last posted. I will try to recap a few of them. Garrett and Cage had combined birthday parties at the Hutchinson Zoo on the 11Th of April. Garrett turned two and Cage turned three. "Nana and Papa really don't have baby grandchildren anymore". I can't even believe that Logan will be 13 in June.

Besides the birthday parties, Logan and Nana did some partying of our own. We went to a Christian concert in Wichita. There were five bands for a general admission price of $10 each. We stopped to get Subway and stood in line for quite a while. Logan had never been to a concert before and he had a blast. It is really neat to be able to take your grandson to his first concert.

Recently, I traded off my little "runt" motorcycle and got a REAL bike. On March 22nd we went to Alef's Harley-Davidson in Wichita. They were having a "Sportster Sale". (We had already decided that with my Fibromyalgia, that a Sportster was about the biggest bike I could handle) Now I tell you this will all honesty, we just went there to look. I had my eye on a Sportster in South Texas, even though it was a long trip, I really liked the bike. It was a 2007, black, sleek machine with 9500 miles. Well, we rode to Wichita on the Ultra "Tracy's bike" and walked onto the show room floor and there he was.............. 2008 Harley Davidson XL883L with 6200 miles and $500 less..........WHAT A DEAL. Since there was a sale going on and that was the only 883L they had, I wouldn't get off of it until we talked to our salesman. We talked and made the deal that day. I made a date to pick it up the next Saturday. Well, wouldn't you know it, we had a late in the season snow storm on Friday night and Saturday. 18 inches of snow. I had to wait another week to pick it up, but it was all worth it.

I had taken that Friday off. Tracy is working four days a week now, so off we went. I was a little apprehensive, since I had never ridden a bike with forward controls. So, I took it for a spin around the building. I ABOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!!!!!! I have ridden my bike whenever I can. Back and forth to work. To Wichita twice and around town. I am SO riding it to Texas next month for a ride we have planned. Probably just three or four bikes. Until next time, "keep the shiny side up". :)
